Staff Relations:

"God is no respecter of persons" Acts 10:34 Everyone is created equal. Everyone has an important job to do, otherwise that job would not exist, therefore everyone is to be treated with respect, and their opinions of the business given due consideration.

"Honour your father and mother...". Exodus 20:12 The Business respects the family unit as being more important than itself. Therefore all employees are encouraged to complete the majority, or preferably all, their work during normal working hours. The business not only encourages that employees take holidays when due, but that they also take their family away for a proper vacation.

"the labourer is worthy of his wages." Luke 10:7 This applies both ways. The business is to pay a fair market rate to each employee for the work that they do, and the employee is to work diligently at his job, doing the best he can within the environment provided. If an above average job is done, then an above average wage is to be paid. Similarly, if a below average job is done, a below average wage is to be paid. The general consensus of opinion from customers, colleagues and peers is to be primary yardstick in determining quality of work.

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so." Proverbs 3:27 All wages and debts (ie: invoices) shall be paid on or before the due date. If there is a dispute over an item, the undisputed amount must be paid when due.

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so." Proverbs 3:27 All wages and debts (ie: invoices) shall be paid on or before the due date. If there is a dispute over an item, the undisputed amount must be paid when due.

"There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty." Proverbs 11:24 Employees in difficulty should be assisted where the cause is not due to illegal or illicit activities. Major charities, particularly those supported by employees, should be supported.

"He who despises his neighbour sins; but he who has mercy on the poor, he is happy." Proverbs 14:21 For each employee, the business shall annually donate $50 for full-time and $25 for part-time, to a nominated charity or non-profit organisation of the employees choosing.

"He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit. Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; when he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive." Proverbs 17:27-28 Business activities, and particularly client information, is not to be discussed in public places, nor to be disclosed to non-employees. One never knows how far such information can travel. It can weaken the business, thus jeopardising many jobs. Information about clients is given to the business in trust, which must be honoured. There will usually only be one opportunity to betray a clients trust: "A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city" Proverbs 18:19

"Wine is a mocker, intoxicating drink arouses brawling, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise." Proverbs 20:1 Alcoholic drinks, and those obviously under its effect are not permitted on business premises. It is requested that alcohol not be consumed at lunch time, as it impairs ones effectiveness and judgement.

"As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17 If we all work together, bouncing our ideas of each other, understanding that good ideas are not restricted to just of few special individuals, then we shall all grow in wisdom and understanding, thus benefiting both ourselves and those around as, our family, friends and clients.

"Like a roaring lion and a charging bear is a wicked ruler over poor people. A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor..." Proverbs 28:15-16 "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people moan." Proverbs 29:2 Management is to be sympathetic and understanding to those under them. It is management who is given responsibility, and they are paid accordingly. So when a project goes off track, it is management who must accept that responsibility and its consequences. The only excuse that management have, is poor management! "He who pampers his servant from childhood, will have him as a son in the end." Proverbs 29:21
